Convention Committee:

Purpose: The Convention Committee works collaboratively with the Executive Director to plan and deliver PSSNY’s Annual Convention, ensuring a high-quality experience for attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and speakers. The committee helps guide program development, education topics, logistics, and member engagement activities, supporting a successful and well-coordinated event that reflects the needs and priorities of New York’s pharmacy community.

The Medicaid Committee:

Purpose: Such committee shall have specific responsibility to study, recommend and act on behalf of the interests of pharmacy in Medicaid matters affecting the profession in New York State.

THE pr/fIXrX cOMMITTEE:

Purpose: This committee drives PSSNY’s public relations strategy by shaping clear, consistent messaging that elevates the role of pharmacists, strengthens the organization’s brand, and builds public understanding of key pharmacy issues.

The Employee Committee:

Purpose: Such committee shall address areas of concern to employee pharmacists. It shall conduct surveys, make reports, sponsor resolutions and carry out other operations consistent with its responsibility to identify and present the perspectives of employee pharmacists on matters relating to the ethical and competent practice of Pharmacy.

Legislative Committee

Purpose: The Legislative Committee leads PSSNY’s statewide advocacy efforts by reviewing proposed legislation, identifying priorities that impact pharmacy practice, and advising the organization on strategic action. The committee monitors bills in the State Legislature and Congress, develops clear positions for PSSNY, and keeps members informed about emerging policy issues.

Membership Committee

Purpose: The Membership Committee is responsible for growing and strengthening PSSNY’s membership by engaging current members, identifying prospective members, and promoting the value of belonging to the Society. The committee supports outreach efforts, helps develop strategies to improve retention and recruitment, and works collaboratively with leadership to ensure a welcoming and supportive experience for all pharmacists and technicians across New York State.
