 The intended audience of this seminar is for pharmacists, providing additional knowledge to assist in their practice of pharmacy and for other non - pharmacist health care professionals.  The credit issued will be 2 contact hours or .2 CEUs.  The fee for this activity will be $60 for non-members and $30 for PSSNY members. Modern Migraine Management: From Triptans to CGRP and Targeted Drug Therapy

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Define migraine pathophysiology and the central role of CGRP in driving modern treatment
  • Compare migraine and other headache types commonly encountered in practice
  • Review acute migraine therapies including tryptans, gepants, and Lasmiditan, and select appropriate treatment based on patient-specific factors
  • Describe CGRP monoclonal antibodies and oral gepants from prevention and identify appropriate candidates for their use
  • Identify key barriers to optimal migraine management, including medication overuse, headache underdiagnosis, and poor adherence

The Statement of Credit will be submitted electronically to NABP and will indicate hours and CEUs.  Credit will be awarded only to those attendees who sign the attendance list, fill out the evaluation forms and complete the learning assessment with a passing grade of 80% at the conclusion of the seminar. The credits should be listed on NABP’s website automatically in 60 days.  The Boards of Pharmacy of all 50 states will accept courses presented by an ACPE accredited organization for credit toward license renewal.
