Optimizing Lipid Management: A Review of the Guidelines

Learning Objectives: At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to: 

> Describe the burden of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and evidence-based approaches to risk stratification and lipid biomarker assessment
> Discuss current clinical recommendations for using non-statin, lipid-lowering therapies
> Identify adverse events related to statin and non-statin pharmacotherapy agents
> Review the non-pharmacologic approach to lipid management
> Discuss appropriate counselling points to be addressed when managing a patient with hyperlipidemia

Continuing Education program provided by Alpha Zeta Omega Pharmaceutical Fraternity NY Alumni Chapter in conjunction with Westchester and Rockland Society of Pharmacists & Hudson Valley Pharmacists Society.

Intended audience of this seminar is for pharmacists, providing additional knowledge to assist in their pharmacy practice and for other non-pharmacist health care professionals.  

The Statement of Credit will be submitted electronically to NABP and will indicate hours and CEUs.  Credit will be awarded only to those attendees who sign the attendance list, fill out the evaluation forms and complete the learning assessment with a passing grade of 80% at the conclusion of the seminar. The credits should be listed on NABP’s website automatically in 60 days.  The Boards of Pharmacy of all 50 states will accept courses presented by an ACPE accredited organization for credit toward license renewal.

Alpha Zeta Omega National Pharmaceutical Fraternity New York Alumni Chapter is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
