PRESENTER: John Faragon, PharmD, BCPS, AAHIVP
Dr. John Fargon is a Pharmacist at Albany Medical Center and the Regional Pharmacy Director for the Northeast Caribbean AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC). His areas of specialty include drug interactions with HIV medications as well as medication errors. Dr. Faragon completed is Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Albany College of Pharmacy in 2000, followed by an Ambulatory care/Adult Learning residency in conjunction with Altamont Internal Medicine/Pediatrics and Albany College of Pharmacy

TARGET AUDIENCE: All NYS practicing pharmacists
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Explain the reasons (PrEP) is an important part of ending the HIV epidemic;
- Review the indications and contraindications for PrEP;
- Review the safety and efficacy of PrEP;
- Review latest updates regarding PrEP.
