At the completion of this activity, the attendee will be able to:

  • List at least seven new drug entities approved by the FDA over the previous 12 months;
  • Classify each new drug as belonging to a specific therapeutic or pharmacologic class;
  • Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the new agent compared to other agents of its class;
  •  Describe the major adverse effects and contraindications of each agent.
