As part of New York's budget for 2008-2009, the pharmacy sector just took a major hit with a July 1st cut in reimbursement levels that will result in $50 million in losses to the sector. This will have a huge negative impact on patients who rely on Medicaid, EPIC and ADAP.
These are the most severe cuts ever to hit pharmacy and they put New York dead last in the nation in state Medicaid reimbursement levels. We need your help to roll back the cuts!

The Protect Pharmacy Patients coalition www.protectpharmacypatients.org is bringing together pharmacists from around the state, along with patient groups and healthcare advocates to call on Albany to roll back the Medicaid cuts. Media outlets around the state have covered the issue and are taking our side, but we need independent pharmacies and pharmacy advocates to turn up the heat on Albany.
