· Explain the epidemiology, symptoms and transmission of bloodborne pathogen disease;

· Define the OSHA bloodborne pathogen standard;

· Review the pharmacy’s exposure control plan;

· Identify tasks and other activities that may involve exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material;

· Describe what constitutes an exposure threat;

· Discuss the use and limitations of engineering controls, work practices and PPE.

Zika Virus: What in the News and How to Make Sense of It All

The Pharmacists Society of the State of New York is accredited by the  Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. To receive credit for these programs, participants must complete the program evaluation and participation survey. Information will be sent to CPE monitor 3 weeks after the presentation.
