Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
· Identify the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommended adult vaccination schedule;
· Describe and implement relevant components of the Standards for Adult Immunization in their facilities;
· Describe the current vaccination coverage rates among adults in New York City;
· Describe the enrollment process for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s (DOHMH) vaccination standing orders program.

The Pharmacists Society of the State of New York is accredited by the  Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
Program Expiration Date: 12/31/2016

This session will address adult immunization recommendations, coverage rates, and immunization standards. In addition, this session will help pharmacists identify evidence-based strategies to implement into clinical practice and provide training in use of the Citywide Immunization Registry (CIR) and its features to improve adult immunization administration and reporting.  This session will NOT provide certification as an immunizer.  It is intended for those already certified to immunize.   More details will be posted as they become available.
