The participant will be able to review the epidemiology and pathophysiology of COPD; outline evidence-based treatment plans for COPD consistent with current guidelines; discuss safety and efficacy data on currently available treatment options; describe the pharmacological treatments for COPD to include mechanisms of action and side effects; educate patients about treatment guidelines and adherence to medication therapy; demonstrate proper techniques for medication delivery devices.
