Learning Objectives:

 

  1. Identify key characteristics of motivational interviewing.
  2. State effective strategies that can be used by pharmacists in the style of
    motivational interviewing.
  3. Identify common barriers to adherence and predictors of non-adherence.
  4. List evidence based strategies and interventions to improve adherence.
  5. Describe diseases or medications that can produce drug induced nutrient depletion.
  6. List important considerations in the selection of vitamin and mineral supplements in the adult population.
