Learning Objectives: At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

 

§ Discuss DHHS Guidelines for HIV treatment;

§ Review common errors and pitfalls in ARV prescribing and dispensing;

§ List examples of common look-a-like and sound-a-like medications in HIV and in primary care;

§ Identify key resources for managing HIV infection for pharmacists;

§ Using cases, discuss strategies for HIV medication error prevention.

At 6:00 PM there will be a presentation on the NEW Grassroots Advocacy Toolkit. There will also be a legislative update and the presenter will respond to questions from the audience.

 

Disclosure will be made on the day of the program regarding any interest or affiliation a speaker may have with a supporting organization.

 

To receive credit for this program, participants must complete the sign-in sheet and complete the online evaluation. Information will be sent to mycpemonitor.net within 10 days of the conclusion of the program.
